The Student Immunization Compliance Officer has oversight of managing the University’s Immunization Policy and ensuring student compliance with the policy as well as applicable state laws.


  • Responsible for managing the University’s Immunization Policy and monitoring student compliance with the policy as well as with applicable state laws
  • Regularly monitor compliance with student immunization program, and generate complete, accurate reports regarding student compliance with immunization policy and applicable state laws for submission to the General Counsel's office
  • Implement the development of policies, standards and methodologies designed to mitigate the risk of non-compliance
  • Monitor and audit the performance of vendors (CastleBranch and SentryMD) for accuracy and timeliness, and report to the General Counsel’s office regarding the same
  • Collaborate with applicable offices (e.g., Information Services, Student Services, Admissions) in the design, development and/or refinement of immunization compliance program, and processes and management of the program
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal and regulatory matters that may impact the immunization compliance program, and update policies and procedures accordingly
  • Interpret policy language and provide recommended approaches to satisfy compliance
  • Analyze reporting results, identify areas of non-compliance, and audit records to ensure all appropriate documentation is captured and accounted for
  • Serve as a point person with Clinical Coordinators in sending and receiving updated immunization records and reports
  • Perform outreach to students to ensure that expectations regarding immunization compliance policies and procedures are clearly understood and followed
  • Coordinate notification of non-compliant students with University General Counsel
  • Assist students with submitting immunizations to vendor
  • Advise General Counsel of compliance status of students and any issues related to compliance

Additional responsibilities related to student compliance issues as assigned by the General Counsel.




  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Minimum of 3 years related work experience required; education may count toward experience; substantial work experience may substitute for education requirement
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office application suite
  • Experience in resolving conflict between groups with opposing perspectives, agenda, or priorities
  • Ability to prepare and present effective written and oral reports, recommendations and opinions and to represent the University in a positive and professional manner
  • Skill in compiling necessary data to analyze compliance; strong IT skills for data analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work directly with students in a non-confrontational manner
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a positive and professional manner
  • Ability to develop, maintain and coordinate effective working relationships with various constituencies both internally and externally
