Faculty of Pharmaceutics teach in the PharmD, BSPS and graduate programs of the University, mentoring and engaging in scholarly activities in area of specialization with both graduate and undergraduate students, and participate in University, School and Departmental service activities.


  • Teach (didactic and laboratory) topics in pharmaceutics and pharmaceutical sciences in the undergraduate, professional PharmD and graduate programs offered by the department and School of Pharmacy
  • Conduct scholarly and publishable peer-reviewed research in area of expertise, preferably complementing departmental research strengths
  • Mentor and advise students (undegraduate and graduate) in their projects, thesis / dissertations
  • Hold regular weekly office hours for students
  • Attends and participate in graduate student seminar activities
  • Serves as a member of departmental/school/university committees, as assigned
  • Attends regular departmental, school and university faculty meetings and retreats as scheduled
  • Maintains current and advanced knowledge in discipline and area of expertise
  • Participate in the PharmD honors program and in the University SURF program
  • Attend Departmental, School and University functions

Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.


Rank is commensurate with education and experience.




  • PhD in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacokinetics or related pharmaceutical sciences field (post-doctoral experience preferred)
  • Strong evidence of a commitment to teaching, scholarship with excellent communication, time management, organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and work as a member of a team
  • Peer-reviewed published research in area of expertise
  • Teaching in a pharmacy / health science school preferred
