Faculty of Pharmacy Practice engages in teaching, service and scholarship activities on behalf of the University and serves in a clinical pharmacist role/faculty member in an ambulatory care setting. 


  • Develops and maintains pharmacy practice services at a practice site with the primary purpose of providing high-quality experiential education to PharmD students
  • Provides didactic instruction in the PharmD program in areas of interest and expertise, according to department need
  • Contributes to periodic review and revision of departmental course offerings
  • Conducts research and related forms of scholarship in areas of expertise
  • Publishes study results, reports and reviews in peer reviewed journals and presents results
  • Serves as a member of university, school, and department committees
  • Attends and participates in department meetings, faculty meetings, university ceremonies, and other major events
  • Collaborates with pharmacy administration and staff on patient care initiatives at the practice site
  • Maintains advanced knowledge in discipline and areas of expertise
  • Participates in university continuing education programs

Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.


Rank is commensurate with education and experience.




  • A Doctor of Pharmacy degree
  • Residency and/or fellowship or equivalent experience
  • Eligibility to practice pharmacy in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • Excellent communication skills



  • Teaching experience
  • Extensive clinical and research experience
