The faculty member will engage in teaching, service and scholarship activities on behalf of the University and serve as an Ambulatory Care Pain Management Specialist at Atrius Healthcare, Kenmore Center.


  • Collaborates with the Pain Management teams including involvement in pain shared medical appointments, patient education, and opioid monitoring and tapering planning strategies.
  • Collaborates with the administrative and clinical teams in clinical trials, projects, and committee work as specified by the practice site
  • Provides experiential education to pharmacy students at the practice site
  • Maintains advanced knowledge in discipline and areas of expertise
  • Provides didactic instruction in PharmD programs in areas of interest and expertise
  • Serves as a member of at least one University or department committee
  • Attends and participates in monthly SOP-B department meetings, University ceremonies and other major events
  • Participates in University continuing education programs
  • Conducts original research and related forms of scholarship in areas of expertise
  • Publishes study results, reports and reviews in peer reviewed journals and presents results
  • Contributes to periodic review and revision of departmental course offerings

Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.


Rank is commensurate with education and experience.    




  • A Doctor of Pharmacy degree
  • Residency and/or fellowship or equivalent experience
  • Eligibility to practice pharmacy in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated clinical skill commensurate with the demands of an oncology/hematology clinical pharmacist
  • Ability to interact in an interprofessional team and be an effective teaching role model for pharmacy students in advanced practice rotations
  • Collaborative skills necessary to interact with pharmacy colleagues in the advancement of the goals and objectives of the Pharmacy Practice Department



  • PGY-2 Pain Management residency preferred
  • Teaching experience
  • Extensive clinical and research experience
