Responsibilities

The Digital Engagement & Communications Associate delivers a comprehensive digital communications program to build strong, positive relationships between alumni, students and MCPHS University.

 

  • Coordinate with University Advancement’s Digital Content & Social Media Coordinator to maximize distribution of University Advancement related announcements to the alumni community, and to support the promotion of events and campaigns
  • Represent Alumni Services and Center for Professional Career Development at University Advancement communication meetings; event planning meetings; and content development discussions
  • Establish and direct the digital engagement and communication strategies for Alumni Services and Center for Professional Career Development to deliver targeted messages to defined audiences; implement innovative communication approaches that will be effective and have significant positive impact on building and maintaining relationships
  • Advise on current trends and practices; utilize industry best practices to achieve quality and professionalism; be current on technology and vendors
  • Incorporate data-driven insights to direct enhancements and recommendations for future efforts; ensure messages resonate with target audiences; produce monthly analysis report; contribute to annual strategy and assessment reports
  • Pro-actively and creatively update and improve assigned products and platforms to keep alumni and students highly engaged with the university; work effectively with various support centers; coordinate upgrades/enhancements with department calendar
  • Provide graphic design and content presentation according to department requests and goals; maintain skill level to meet requirements of the position; adhere to design and marketing protocols of the university
  • Respond to inquiries through the Alumni Services’ email account and web forms
  • Assist with hiring and management of student staff
  • Support University Advancement events as needed

Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Required:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as communications or marketing
  • Experience with iModules, Adobe, and Photoshop
  • Demonstrated ability to manage production (layout, design) of digital media
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Previous experience in an academic or higher education environment
  • Experience developing metrics/assessing outcomes
  • Proven ability to exercise initiative and work independently
  • Experience in handling multiple projects and setting appropriate production schedules
