Responsibilities

The two-year fellowship at Apothecare Pharmacy, LLC in Brockton, MA is designed for pharmacists interested in initiating and maintaining a Medication Therapy Management (MTM) program and developing skills in business management.  The Fellow will be introduced to the basics of business development and will gain experience in all areas of pharmacy operations, as well as experience in non-sterile compounding and teaching experience within the academic setting at MCPHS University and preceptor experiences at Apothecare. 

 

Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.

 

Apothecare Pharmacy, LLC located in Brockton, MA is an independently-owned pharmacy focused on providing comprehensive services to patients with unique needs including those residing in assisted living, hospice, residential programs, rest homes, and the community.  The pharmacy’s Medpack Program, for independently living seniors and any patient seeking efficiency in the packaging of their medications, provides an extensive opportunity for provision of MTM services.  Apothecare is also equipped with a state-of-the-art non-sterile compounding room in compliance with USP chapters 795 and 800, which provides a unique aspect of business management and will allow the Fellow the opportunity to gain experience in non-sterile compounding. 

Qualifications

 Required:

 

  • Completion of an ACPE-accredited Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Program before July 1, 2018
  • Eligibility for licensure in Massachusetts
  • Authorization to work in the U.S throughout the duration of the two-year fellowship; no visa sponsorship will be provided.
