    The Development Associate supports a broad scope of University Advancement fund-raising efforts, event production and communications initiatives, examples of which may include the following:


    • Support planning, development, preparation, and execution of fund-raising-related initiatives including Annual Fund giving, restricted giving, scholarship award funding, and legacy giving.
    • Responsible for planning, development, and execution of annual student phonathon initiative including hiring and training work-study students and paid student phonathon workers, as well as providing ongoing supervision of nightly student phonathon activities.
    • Responsible for planning, development and execution of annual reunion class gift campaign including reunion class agent(s) recruitment and support, development, coordination, management, and follow-up of the solicitation campaign and other reunion class gift-related projects.
    • Responsible for planning, development and execution of annual graduating class gift campaign, including graduating class agent(s) recruitment, execution of informational and solicitation campaigns, donor and class recognition and necessary follow-up.
    • Responsible for planning, development and execution of annual Parent Fund campaign.
    • Lead staff, faculty, and volunteers in planning, development, and execution of annual MCPHS scholarship award golf tournament.
    • Lead or participate in the organization, management and staging of high-profile administrative, alumni and donor events and programs.
    • Organize and manage the Laying the Foundation campaign, including development and creation of digital and print solicitation materials and overseeing the order process, production, and installation of engraved bricks on MCPHS campuses.
    • Develop and manage production of the Constant Cardinals calendar.
    • Participate in the planning, acquisition, production and editing of video content for posting on alumni website and distribution by other means.
    • Participate in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of initiatives related to the increased and enhanced utilization of internet-based digital communications platforms including website, email, and social media communications.
    • Perform a wide range of database-related functions as assigned, including gift and pledge entry, constituent record updates, call sheet production and organization and various reporting functions, and selected input.
    • Provide weeknight and weekend work availability, as necessary.

    Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.




    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Minimum of two years related experience in a fund-raising environment
    • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to articulate the mission of the University and its case for support and to engage volunteers to support fund-raising initiatives
    • Must be detail oriented, extremely flexible, and able to multi-task
    • Demonstrated competency in use of Microsoft Office products as well as external social media, search engines and other resources to facilitate web-based communications and outreach
