    Responsibilities

    The Director is a member of the Office of Admission and is responsible to meet or exceed the enrollment targets by identifying, admitting and enrolling qualified students to the programs residing on the Worcester, MA and Manchester, NH campuses. The position requires a strong leader who is innovative and persuasive.


    • Lead, supervise and inspire the development and maintenance of a top-performing admission team
    • Develop and execute a strategy that is designed to attract qualified students and ensure each incoming class meets the size, quality, diversity and financial goals of the University
    • Ensure recruitment and marketing efforts are aligned with institutional goals and are effectively communicated internally
    • Analyze effectiveness of recruitment, admission, enrollment activities and make recommendations
    • Keep staff current on trends and competition
    • Collaborate with academic departments, student services, student financial services and external agents that have influence on new student enrollment
    • Serve as a member of the senior management team where assessment and data-driven information will be used to inform and guide policy and process
    • Represent the University at on and off campus programs; some overnight travel will be required
    • Participate and act as liaison with the National Association of Advisors for Health Professions
    • Provide advising for prospective students
    • Maintain a CRM and build relevant reports for tracking enrollment
    • Track admission statistics and report on stages and make predictions for enrollment
    • Serve on various campus committees
    • Collaborate with colleagues on other campuses
    • Attend recruitment events on other campuses

    Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.

    Qualifications

    Required:

     

    • A bachelor’s degree
    • A minimum of five years of experience in higher education admission
    • Supervisory experience with ability to train, communicate, evaluate and delegate; excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong customer service skills and experience; understanding of the dynamic modes of communication with students
    • A valid driver’s license and passport
    • Ability to consistently track enrollment data throughout the year and change course on strategy when needed
    • Ability to handle multiple assignments and responsibilities at the same time
    • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment with diverse populations
    • Must be results-oriented and comfortable working in a goal-driven environment
    • Must be available for travel, weekend and evening hours required during points in cycle
    • Familiarity with Centralized Application Service (CAS)
    • Familiarity with use of higher education database and CRM systems
    • Ability to communicate with students from different cultural backgrounds
    • Strong writing skills are necessary, including public speaking skills and the ability to present the University in a positive way to diverse populations 
    • Ability to multitask and effectively function in a fast-paced and team environment
    • Management and supervisory experience in a graduate environment

    Desired:

     

    • Previous leadership of a graduate admission team strongly preferred
    • Previous experience with international student recruitment
