    Responsibilities

    Reporting to and working closely with the Director of Digital Marketing, this position will oversee the team of marketers responsible for engaging prospective students through dynamic content marketing initiatives that convey the University’s brand story across the website, email, and social media platforms. The position will be responsible for developing creative strategies to reach a range of priority audiences and personas with smart, creative, vibrant content through a variety of digital channels.

     

    • Lead team in identification and articulation of customer personas, attitudes, behaviors and trends as well as understand and map customer journeys
    • Partner with senior team for ongoing contact strategy development and spearhead contact strategy implementation and execution
    • Oversee the maintenance of a prioritized editorial calendar of content
    • Assign, review, and edit content assets
    • Grow a network of external content development resources, and oversee their work with in-house staff
    • Oversee email marketing nurture campaigns and engagement initiatives and analyze performance to optimize customer journey
    • Oversee social media strategy to grow follower base across owned social channels, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter
    • Leverage data analytics and owned platforms to extract customer insights
    • Utilize customer insights to deepen customer persona understanding and journey mapping while making connections across channels to ensure all efforts are driving impact with key customer targets and delivering results.
    • Oversee website maintenance and create a vision for managing ongoing website enhancement and development
    • Design, execute, and analyze A/B test and learn regimens and optimize outbound communications and website content accordingly
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with other departments and key stakeholders 
    • Create best practices, best in class procedures and uphold stringent  QA processes for all content development and tactical content distribution executions 
    • Foster and cultivate team environment
    • Set and measure staff objectives and performance management to ensure team success
    • Stay on top of industry and competitive trends and identify new opportunities to grow the business

    Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.

    Qualifications

    Required:

     

    • 8-10 years of demonstrated success in marketing and brand building
    • 5+ years in direct hands-on planning and execution of digital strategies and go to market plans
    • Bachelor's degree is required
    • Superb writing and editing skills
    • A command of best practices for email strategy and social media channels, including which content and approaches work on each channel, and why
    • A strong understanding of content categorization and structure, as well as content development, distribution, and measurement
    • Experience developing marketing plans and organization workflows among content teams across a large organization
    • Experience creating marketing content for the web and social media audience, and a willingness to adjust content strategy based on performance metrics
    • Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics and other web metrics and CRM platforms
    • Proven track-record of leveraging data analytics and mining owned platforms to extract consumer insights to inform and optimize strategies and plans
    • Ability to closely partner with cross-functional team members and demonstrate strong collaboration skills
    • Possess strong communication skills; ability to connect the dots and translate information into clear, compelling action plans
    • Proven track-record of building and developing highly-motivated and high performing teams
    • Strong organization and project management skills with ability to multi-task
