  • Overview

    The Affiliation Development Coordinator helps identify and maintain relationships with organizations that provide clinical opportunities to MCPHS students, allowing them to get a first-hand look into the daily life of healthcare practitioners. The role researches and recommends student educational practice sites.

    Responsibilities

    • Conducts research through the use of online tools, face to face interactions, and other internal sources of information to identify and recommend healthcare organizations for potential student experiential education opportunities
    • Manages the processing, approvals, and implementation of contractual agreements while meeting deadlines
    • Makes recommendations for opportunities to consolidate affiliation agreements across disciplines, to align renewal dates, and to add or reconfigure disciplines as agreements will allow
    • Assesses current agreements to ensure that language is up to date, agreements are accurate, and that payments and other terms are executed appropriately
    • Develops and maintains an affiliation agreement database with dynamic reporting capabilities, searchable features, and user-friendliness.Creates and generates reports such as those pertaining to affiliation sites, agreement timelines, renewals, disciplines, student population, payments, and compliance
    • Makes recommendations for workflow improvements, process efficiency changes, and cost effectiveness while maintaining a high-level of service to stakeholders.
    • Develops, implements, and oversees confidential filing and record-keeping system, distribution of materials, and other communication and information management systems.
    • Develops a thorough understanding of experiential education requirements of all University disciplines
    • Facilitates communication regarding job posting between affiliated organizations and internal University resources in support of soon-to-be MCPHS University graduates and alumni regarding potential employment opportunities.
    • Proactively collaborates with clinical coordinators to assess current agreements that may need to be renewed.
    • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Bachelor's degree.
    • Minimum 1 year experience with project management, program coordination, contract processing, or other related responsibilities.
    • Strong organizational, administrative and database skills (excel or equivalent)
    • Track record of cross-functional collaboration and teamwork
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to learn quickly
    • Ability to respond quickly, effectively and thoroughly to inquiries and concerns
    • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Ability to adapt to quickly changing internal needs from multiple internal customers

     Preferred:

    • Prior experience in a health care setting
    • Knowledge of medical profession education requirements preferred
