  • Overview

    Adjunct Faculty in this position work directly with doctoral students conducting evidence-based research leading to completion of their capstone/scholarly research.


    • Mentorship of doctoral students completing capstone projects over three semesters
    • Review of capstone projects based on predetermined milestones/assignments and presentation of actionable feedback in line with the stated course and unit objectives
    • Maintenance of an online presence, including answering student inquiries promptly and participation in capstone presentations
    • Provision of guidance to students to ensure project timelines and objectives are satisfied
    • Collaboration with the Capstone Coordinator to evaluate student progress, document progression, and ensure project objectives are being met
    • Communication with the Capstone Coordinator, identifying any students of concern and relaying student progress




    • Terminal degree  (PhD, EdD, DHS, or equivalent)
    • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
    • 5-10 years of graduate teaching experience



    • Healthcare, or closely related experience
    • Demonstrable scholarship in the health sciences, or closely related areas
    • Experience with mentorship of graduate students
    • Experience with Blackboard or similar LMS

    Physical requirements:


    • Ability to appear in video or webcam for online interaction with students
