  • Overview

    Faculty - Nursing FNP / NP teaches and motivates students, and develops appropriate teaching methods.


    • Actively seek advancement of teaching and learning processes
    • Demonstrate knowledge of subject and incorporate new developments in the field into teaching
    • Develop new learning assessment techniques, courses, programs, teaching materials
    • Teach students practice site skills such as patient counseling, interaction with providers and practice site management
    • Develop practice site(s) and oversee student learning
    • Make scholarly contributions to field of specialization and contribute time and expertise to the college, professional and community service

    Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.




    • A minimum of a master's degree in nursing
    • Nurse Practitioner certification
    • Nursing education experience
    • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
    • Ability to work effectively as a member of a dynamic team and in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment



    • A PhD in a relevant discipline, or DNP
    • Family Nurse Practitioner certification
